What do you think of my prologue?

Prologues are a turnoff. Most readers want to get right into the story, and the prologue is something like dipping your toe in the water before you go for a swim. It's edging into the story. What you need to do is grab the reader with a good hook for your opening sentence. Any backstory that needs to be told can be worked in to the story once it gets underway.
