yeah, i've waited tables for a long time and on TWO occasions i've had to kick people out of the restaurant for doing that. it is very rude and it's not your job to put up with it. it's completely inappropriate and it's not a welcome sight for you OR the other customers. if it happens again you should totally make them leave. just give them the boot OR, if you wanna be nice about it, put their food in to-go boxes and bring it back with their check and tell them to take it elsewhere.
