Neighbors driving me crazy , using my driveway , driving on my lawn ETC?

I just want to keep this brief and I know laws vary extremely but give me some advice please on how to handle my neighbors ... ok so I just bought a house and everything is fine except for this one house , right across the street from me . I tried being friendly but some guy who lives there or was visiting I am not sure was hiding in the dark trying to talk to me one night while I was walking a friends dog , I told him off gently and went inside ...he then broke my expensive front window ... so I stopped waving and smiling ... now its nonsense all the time but I am not sure if they are breaking the law , if there is much I can do about it or what . Mostly they are backing WAY up into my driveway even their house guest do this and its a dead end street so they could back up there . They come within inches of my car . The other day I was coming home and caught a women who lives in the house backing up onto my lawn so I am beeping and getting upset ...she stops her call , rolls down the window and I get out in my drive way and ASK her to Not drive on my lawn and she does the whole "excuse me" thing so I repeated myself and I got the ghetto Excuse me , no , put a fence up ...answer from her .... I got mad and told her how I have only live here for 6 weeks and I AM getting a fence soon but damn ... she mumble something else and drive off ... After stewing on her comment I am really furious . I got my camera ready to film them and I plan on calling the local police Monday to talk to them about it BUT since I am pissed right now I was looking for some advice . Should I put up a sign just to further cover my *** ?? Should I keep a log of things they do ? Write down plate numbers ? The firemen had to come and make them put out a campfire they had burning in the street a few weeks , these are not the best of people here . The rest of the neighbors are nice enough and most of the house are well kept . I just want to live in my house an be able to enjoy it . I dont want my kids getting run over in my own driveway ... I am going to get a camera for outside after I put up the fence because I will be damned if I spend thousands on a fence and they run it over or something....and no I didnt report the window because I was home alone and already nervous when I heard the bang against my house and didnt look until the next morning ...
