How can I write a death scene in my story?

So I'm writing a story about a girl who has prophecies of death in her dreams each night. I don't know how to approach the first death scene in the story, whether I should start a new paragraph with the victim being killed from the girls point of view like 'I saw it happening, this happened then this happened' (even though it's subconscious and she just recalls it in the morning) or whether it should be like 'the victim stumbled backwards then this happened' and more importantly I don't know what to actually happen! I don't want it to be incredibly gory, but I don't want it to be too brief. Ideas are appreciated! x
