Can I keep my Betta with these fish?

I used to have my male Betta with a Gourami, and people said they would fight, but they didn't. Then ( I know it's crazy) I added male and female guppies. I didn't know at the time that guppies don't mix with Bettas until my males started dying yet the females didn't. I took the guppies out and put them in a tank with a black skirt tetra and red eyed tetra. Now their are no males. So could I just put the Betta with the female guppies and tetras?
